This document introduces the features and characteristics of ROHM's BU52002GUL,BU52003GUL,BU52012NVX,BU52012HFV,BU52013HFV Hall ICs, including unipolar detection, micropower operation, ultra-compact package, multiple supply voltages, and high ESD resistance.
The ROHM Hall IC series provides unipolar magnetic field detection in ultra‑compact packages. The devices detect either the N‑pole or S‑pole and output an active‑low signal when the target pole is present. They are offered in CSP4, SO‑8 and SO‑14 packages for use in mobile phones, notebooks, cameras and other portable electronics.
The note lists absolute maximum ratings, magnetic and electrical characteristics, and typical application circuits. Supply voltage ranges from 1.65 V to 3.30 V, with low standby currents and high ESD resistance. Graphs illustrate the relationship between supply voltage, temperature, magnetic flux density and output timing.
| Supply Voltage (Vop) Range | 1.65 V – 3.30 V |
|---|---|
| Output Current (Iout) Typical | 0.5 mA |
| Power Dissipation (Pd) | 5.36 mW |
| Operating Temperature Range | -40 °C – +85 °C |
| Hysteresis | 0.8 mT |
| Period (Tp) | 50 ms – 100 ms |
It provides unipolar detection, meaning it detects only either the N‑pole or the S‑pole.
The supply voltage range is 1.65 V to 3.30 V.
The typical output current is 0.5 mA.
They are offered in an ultra‑compact CSP4 package.
