LT1302/LT1302-5 Micropower High Output Current Step-Up Adjustable and Fixed 5V DC/DC Converters
The LT1302 and LT1302‑5 are micropower step‑up DC/DC converters that deliver 5 V at 100 mA (or 12 V at 120 mA) from a 2‑cell supply. They feature a low‑voltage switch (310 mV at 2 A), 200 µA quiescent current (reducible to 15 pA in shutdown), and operate from input voltages as low as 2 V.
The datasheet includes absolute‑maximum ratings, electrical characteristics, typical performance curves, pin descriptions, block diagrams, and detailed application notes such as inductor, capacitor, and diode selection. Package options are 8‑lead PDIP or SOIC with dimensions and thermal limits provided.
| Output Voltage | 5 V at 100 mA (or 12 V at 120 mA) |
|---|---|
| Quiescent Current | 200 µA typical, 15 pA shutdown |
| Input Voltage Range | 2.0 V to 5.5 V |
| Switch Saturation Voltage | 310 mV at 2 A |
| Package | 8‑Lead PDIP or SOIC |
The LT1302 has a typical quiescent current of 200 µA, which can be reduced to 15 pA when the shutdown pin is asserted.
The device operates from an input voltage as low as 2.0 V up to about 5.5 V.
The LT1302 is available in an 8‑lead package; pins include GND (Pin 1), Frequency Compensation (Pin 2), Shutdown (Pin 3), Feedback/Sense (Pin 4), optional pin (Pin 5), Supply (Pin 6), Switch (Pin 7), and Power Ground (Pin 8).
The LT1302 can deliver up to 100 mA at 5 V (or 120 mA at 12 V) from a 2‑cell supply.
