About this manual

The MAX4744 family are low‑voltage dual SPDT analog switches that operate from a single +1.8 V to +5.5 V supply and support negative‑signal capability down to VCC‑5.5 V. They are intended for audio routing in handheld devices such as phones, MP3 players, PDAs, notebooks, and other consumer electronics.

Key features include internal shunt resistors that suppress click‑and‑pop, a break‑before‑make switching architecture, low on‑resistance (typical 0.6 Ω, max 1.0 Ω), low supply current, and protection against over‑voltage on the COM pin. The devices are offered in a 10‑pin µDFN package and operate over –40 °C to +85 °C.
