This document introduces CY7C64713 EZ-USB FX1™ USB Microcontroller, a full speed USB peripheral controller.
The CY7C64713 EZ-USB FX1 is a full‑speed USB microcontroller that integrates a USB transceiver, Smart SIE, and an enhanced 8051 core. It offers up to 40 GPIO pins, four programmable endpoints, and a GPIF interface for connecting to parallel devices such as ATA, UTOPIA, and DSPs.
The device supports a 12 Mbps full‑speed USB link, draws no more than 65 mA for bus‑powered operation, and provides up to 48 MHz clock rates. It is available in four Pb‑free packages (56 SSOP, 56 QFN, 100 TQFP, 128 TQFP) and includes 16 KB of internal program/data RAM, multiple interrupt vectors, and extensive register documentation for developers.
| USB signaling speed | 12 Mbps (full speed) |
|---|---|
| Maximum current draw | 65 mA |
| Internal program/data RAM | 16 KB |
| Maximum 8051 clock rate | 48 MHz |
| GPIO pins | Up to 40 |
| Package options | 56 SSOP, 56 QFN, 100 TQFP, 128 TQFP |
| USB interrupt vectors | 27 |
The FX1 supports full‑speed USB at 12 Mbps but does not support low‑speed or high‑speed modes.
The device provides up to 40 general‑purpose I/O pins.
The FX1 defines 27 separate USB interrupt vectors.
