This document describes the features and characteristics of the AD5933, a 1 MSPS, 12-bit impedance converter and network analyzer.
The AD5933 is a high‑precision 12‑bit impedance converter and network analyzer that integrates a frequency generator, ADC, and DSP engine. It can excite complex impedances, measure the response, and output magnitude and phase data via an I²C interface. The device is suited for electrochemical analysis, bio‑impedance, corrosion monitoring, and many other applications.
The handbook includes detailed specifications (impedance range, accuracy, supply voltage, temperature range), functional block diagrams, pin configurations, timing characteristics for the PC serial interface, absolute maximum ratings, and example application circuits. Revision history and ordering information are also provided.
