The Compact Instruments optical/contact tachometers provide non‑contact and contact speed measurement options for a variety of applications. Models 462‑6680, 462‑6692 and 462‑6709 offer 5‑digit vertical displays, high accuracy (0.01% + 1 digit) and optional on‑target indicators.
All units are powered by four AAA batteries and include a reflective tape, contact adaptor, instructions, a certificate of conformity and a custom‑moulded carrycase. Optical measurement angles are +45°, with ranges of 0.5 m for the basic model and 4 m for the higher‑spec versions. Speed ranges cover 60–9999 rpm, with linear speed options in meters/min, yards/min, etc.
