Linear Technology LT1719 Datasheet

The LT1719 is an UltraFast TM comparator optimized for low voltage operation. The input voltage range extends from 100mV below VEE to 1.2V below VCC. Internal hysteresis makes the LT1719 easy to use even with slow moving input signals.

About this manual

The LT1719 comparator from Linear Technology offers ultra‑fast performance (4.5 ns at 20 mV overdrive) and low power consumption (4.2 mA at 3 V). It features separate input and output supplies, rail‑to‑rail TTL/CMOS‑compatible output, and a shutdown pin for minimal quiescent current (0.1 pA).

Typical applications include high‑speed line‑receiver, zero‑crossing detector, and sine‑to‑square‑wave conversion. The device is available in SO‑8 and 6‑lead SOT‑23 packages with flexible supply configurations for 3 V–5 V operation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the typical propagation delay of the LT1719?

The LT1719 typically exhibits a propagation delay of 4.5 ns when driven with a 20 mV overdrive.

What supply voltage range can the LT1719 operate from?

The device can operate from a single 3 V to 5 V supply, with separate input and output supplies allowed for flexible configurations.

How many pins does the LT1719 have and what is the function of the shutdown pin?

The LT1719 in the SO‑8 package has eight pins; pin 6 (SHDN) is the shutdown pin, which must be pulled low to enable the comparator.
