This document describes the features and characteristics of the 2-stage alarm produced by Clifford and Snell, including high sound output, multiple operating voltage options, 32 selectable tones, and 6 lens color choices.
The YO4/YL4 series is an industrial audible and visual alarm designed for harsh environments. It provides a 2‑stage alarm, high sound output of 106 dB(A) at 1 m, 32 selectable tones, and six lens colour options. The unit can be powered from 12 Vdc up to 230 Vac and includes optional second‑stage DC control.
Technical specifications include operating temperatures from –35 °C to +66 °C (UL), IP65 rated enclosure, and certifications such as UL 1638, UL 464, BS EN 54‑3 and VdS. The alarm is mounted flush to a flat surface using 4.5 mm fixing screws and a sealed gland for cable entry. Dimensions are approximately 183 mm high, and the weight is 0.25 kg (YO4) or 0.51 kg (YL4).
