3M Bumpon protective products are pressure sensitive adhesive-backed polyurethane products that can be used as feet, stops, spacers, and protectors in many applications. The urethane is a durable, resilient elastomer. The aggressive, high tack pressure sensitive adhesive is protected with a release liner making application fast and easy.
The SJ-5000 Series includes molded Bumpon protective products such as top‑hat, cylindrical, tapered square and hemisphere shapes. They are pressure‑sensitive adhesive‑backed polyurethane with a plasticizer‑free composition that offers excellent skid resistance, abrasion resistance, and long‑term resiliency.
The leaflet lists dimensions, hardness, resilience, friction coefficients, and temperature limits for each model, and describes adhesive types (natural rubber, acrylic, synthetic rubber), custom color and shape options, and warranty information. Technical data are presented for performance testing, solvent resistance, and service conditions.

The SJ‑5000 series uses a natural rubber (R‑30) adhesive that provides high tack and good adhesion to many surfaces.
They can be applied at 40 °F to 125 °F and have a constant service temperature range of –30 °F to 150 °F, with intermittent use up to 225 °F.
Shelf life is 18 months from the date of manufacture when stored at 60‑80 °F and 40‑50 % relative humidity.
The SJ‑5300 series products are not UL listed, while other series pass the UL‑94HB flammability test.
