Vaisala SPH20 User Manual

The SPH20 pressure intake effectively eliminates wind interference in pressure measurements. The heated top and bottom plates provide excellent accuracy for pressure measurements in cold, icy and high humidity outdoor environments. The SPH20 can be directly connected to Vaisala pressure gauge PTB210 and other pressure gauges.

About this manual

This manual describes the SPH20 pressure inlet unit, which reduces wind influence on pressure measurements and works with Vaisala PTB210 and other barometers. It explains the recommended mounting location—an open area away from buildings or trees—and the need to keep the vertical pole at least 1 m away for optimal performance.

The guide covers assembly of the upper and lower plates, attachment to a horizontal arm, wiring with the supplied quick‑connectors, optional power supply change from 12 V to 24 V, heater operation, and maintenance procedures such as cleaning the plates with compressed air. Warranty information and technical specifications are also provided. This manual is written in Japanese.
