This document introduces the features and characteristics of SeCo SPW31002S Bipolar Tone Ringer IC. The IC is packaged in SOP-8 and has low power consumption and few external components.
The SPW31002S is a bipolar integrated circuit designed for telephone bell replacement. It offers a compact SOP‑8 package, variable oscillation frequency, low power consumption, and built‑in threshold circuits that prevent false triggering caused by power‑line noise or rotary‑dial chirps.
Electrical specifications include a supply voltage up to 30 V, operating temperature from –40 °C to 85 °C, and current consumption as low as 0.4 mA in sustain mode. The device provides configurable oscillation frequencies via external components and can be controlled through the RSL terminal, which adjusts the initiation supply current. Application circuits for telecom tone ringer sets are also provided.
