The L7800A series of three terminal positive regulators is available in TO-220, TO-220FP, and D2PAK packages and several fixed output voltages, making it useful in a wide range of applications.
The L7800AB/AC series are three‑terminal positive precision regulators available in TO‑220, TO‑220FP and D²PAK packages. They deliver over 1 A output current with fixed output voltages of 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 15, 18, 20 and 24 V, and include internal current limiting, thermal shutdown and safe‑area protection.
The datasheet lists absolute maximum ratings, thermal data, electrical characteristics such as output voltage tolerance, line and load regulation, dropout voltage, supply‑rejection, and short‑circuit capability. Test circuits and application notes are provided to aid designers in implementing the regulators.
