About this manual

The VIPer50/SP and VIPer50A/ASP are high‑voltage avalanche‑rugged power MOSFET modules that integrate a PWM controller and a vertical power MOSFET (620 V/15 A or 700 V/1.5 A). They feature adjustable switching frequency up to 200 kHz, current‑mode control, soft‑start, burst‑mode standby operation and various protection functions such as over‑temperature and undervoltage lock‑out.

This datasheet contains absolute maximum ratings, thermal data, pin‑out descriptions, electrical characteristics, oscillator and error‑amplifier sections, as well as ordering numbers and mechanical dimensions. It is intended for designers of off‑line power supplies and other high‑voltage applications.
