About this manual

The Sprague ULN2000A/L and ULN2025A/L series are high‑voltage, high‑current Darlington arrays designed for interfacing low‑level logic with loads such as relays, solenoids, stepping motors, LEDs and heaters. The devices are offered in 16‑pin dual‑in‑line (A) and 16‑lead surface‑mount (L) packages, with identical electrical characteristics across package types.

Key features include open‑collector outputs with integral clamp diodes, input compatibility with TTL, DTL, MOS and CMOS logic, and protection against transient over‑voltage. The series provides continuous output currents up to 600 mA per driver and can withstand up to 95 V in the OFF state, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial control applications.
