About this manual

The ISL88694 is a dual‑active pull‑up bus terminator that improves data‑transmission speed on SMBus or compatible I2C interfaces. It detects rising edges, provides a boost pull‑up current for fast transitions, and reduces pull‑up current to a standby level when both lines are high to save power.

Key specifications include a wide operating voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V, active pull‑up current of 275 µA, standby pull‑up current of 100 µA, boost pull‑up current of 2.2 mA, and 8 kV ESD protection on the SMBus pins. The device is offered in a 5‑lead SOT‑23 package and supports SMBus frequencies up to 100 kHz.
