About this manual

The AD5253 and AD5254 are quad‑channel I²C digital potentiometers offering 64‑position (AD5253) or 256‑position (AD5254) resolution. They provide non‑volatile memory for wiper settings, programmable increment/decrement commands, and +6 dB step changes, making them suitable for LED brightness control, gain/offset adjustment, and sensor calibration.

The devices operate from a single 2.7 V‑5.5 V supply or dual supplies (+2.25 V to +2.75 V) and are rated for an industrial temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C. Data is retained for up to 100 years at 55 °C, and the parts are available in 1 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ, and 100 kΩ resistance options.
