About this manual

The AD9272 is an octal analog front‑end that integrates low‑noise preamplifiers, variable‑gain amplifiers, antialiasing filters and a 12‑bit ADC in a 100‑lead TQFP. Each channel provides up to 42 dB of programmable gain, a full‑scale differential output of 4.4 V p‑p, and supports sampling rates from 10 MSPS to 80 MSPS.

Typical applications include medical imaging/ultrasound and automotive radar, where low power (195 mW per channel at 12‑bit/40 MSPS) and high bandwidth (>100 MHz) are critical. The device also features an 8 × 8 differential crosspoint switch programmable via SPI for continuous‑wave Doppler operation.
