This is an operating manual for an iron. It mainly introduces the use method, precautions and other information of the iron.
This manual explains the safety precautions and preparation required before using the Philips HI series steam iron, including checking the voltage rating, removing protective stickers, and cleaning the soleplate. It also describes how to fill the water reservoir, set the steam control to the correct position, and connect the appliance to the mains.
The guide covers temperature and steam settings, how to use the spray and shot‑of‑steam functions, and special tips for different fabrics. It includes instructions for vertical steaming, proper storage, and maintenance such as replacing a damaged mains cord with an original part.
| Water reservoir capacity | approx. 200 ml |
|---|---|
| Voltage rating | Check typeplate for mains voltage |
| Steam control positions | O = no steam, normal, extra steam |
Remove the mains plug, set the steam control to position O, stand the iron upright and pour water into the filling aperture using the measuring beaker, not exceeding the MAX mark.
Read the instructions, verify the voltage rating on the typeplate matches your home supply, remove any stickers or protective foil from the soleplate, and ensure the iron is not damaged.
Press the steam‑shot button (D) while the iron is at a high temperature setting (positions e‑ee), up to five times, and wait for the steam output to decrease before repeating.
