Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the main unit, insert three AA (5号) batteries with correct polarity, and replace the cover.
Ensure the local exchange has caller‑ID service activated and that the telephone is not used as an internal extension, which may prevent the feature.
Press the 【设置/存贮】 key, then use the up/down keys to adjust year, month, day, hour and minute as indicated on the LCD.
Rotate the mechanical lock key to the green or yellow position; the LCD will show a “人” symbol indicating the lock is active.
