AVR mkII Lite is an AVR series simulator launched by MCUzone. It supports AVR devices with debugWIRE debugging interface. The simulator can simulate the mainstream m48/88/168, tiny2313 devices in the low-end market, which is convenient for program debugging and greatly improves development efficiency.
The AVR mkII Lite is a low‑cost debugger/programmer released by MCUzone for AVR microcontrollers that have a debugWIRE interface. It connects to a PC via USB (using an internal USB‑to‑serial converter) and provides both debugWIRE debugging and ISP programming through a standard 10‑pin ISP connector, supporting voltages from 1.8 V to 5.5 V.
The manual covers installation of the USB driver, connection procedures, how to enable and use debugWIRE, ISP programming steps, firmware upgrade via AVR Studio, and a FAQ that addresses common connection and power issues. It also lists the AVR devices that are supported by the tool. This manual is written in Chinese.
| PC Interface | USB (USB‑to‑serial) |
|---|---|
| Supported Voltage | 1.8 V – 5.5 V |
| Connector | Standard 10‑pin ISP socket |
| Supported Devices | ATtiny13, ATtiny2313, ATtiny24, ATtiny44, ATtiny84, ATtiny45, ATtiny85, ATtiny261, ATtiny461, ATtiny861, ATmega48, ATmega48P, ATmega88, ATmega168, AT90PWM3, AT90PWM3B, AT90PWM2, AT90PWM2B |

AVR mkII Lite does not supply power to the target board, so you must ensure the target board is powered and its voltage is adequate.
No. debugWIRE and ISP functions are mutually exclusive; you must disable debugWIRE before performing ISP operations.
Connect the device to a USB port and install the ARK3116 driver available from the MCUzone website.
Download the latest firmware, rename it to jtagicemkii.dat, place it in the AVR Studio JTAGICEmkII folder, then run the upgrade by clicking "Start Upgrading".
