MAX1067/MAX1068 are low-power, multichannel, 14-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) featuring a successive-approximation ADC, integrated +4.096V reference, a reference buffer, an internal oscillator, automatic power-down, and a high-speed SPI™/QSPI™/MICROWIRE™-compatible interface. MAX1067/MAX1068 operate with a single +5V analog supply and feature a separate digital supply, allowing direct interfacing with +2.7V to +5.5V digital logic. MAX1067/MAX1068 consume only 2.9mA (AVDD = DVDD = +5V) at 200ksps when using an external reference. AutoShutdown™ reduces the supply current to 145µA at 10ksps and to less than 10µA at reduced sam- pling rates. The MAX1067 includes a 4-channel input multiplexer, and the MAX1068 accepts up to eight analog inputs. In addition, digital signal processor (DSP)-initiated con- versions are simplified with the DSP frame-sync input and output featured in the MAX1068. The MAX1068 includes a data-bit transfer input to select between 8-bit-wide or 16- bit-wide data-transfer modes. Both devices feature a scan mode that converts each channel sequentially or one channel continuously. Excellent dynamic performance and low power, com- bined with ease of use and an integrated reference, make the MAX1067/MAX1068 ideal for control and data- acquisition operations or for other applications with demanding power consumption and space require- ments. The MAX1067 is available in a 16-pin QSOP package, and the MAX1068 is available in

NCP1308 PWM Current-Mode Controller for Free-Running Quasi-Resonant Operation

The NCP1050-NCP1055 are high voltage switching regulator series with startup circuit, which eliminates the need for transformer auxiliary bias winding, and has overcurrent protection. It can be used in 8-pin dual-in-line and 4-pin SOT-223 packages.

The NCP1050 through NCP1055 are monolithic high voltage regulators that enable end product equipment to be compliant with low standby power requirements. This device series combines the required converter functions allowing a simple and economical power system solution for office automation, consumer, and industrial products. These devices are designed to operate directly from a rectified AC line source. In flyback converter applications they are capable of providing an output power that ranges from 6.0 W to 40 W with a fixed AC input of 100 V, 115 V, or 230 V, and 3.0 W to 20 W with a variable AC input that ranges from 85 V to 265 V. This device series features an active startup regulator circuit that eliminates the need for an auxiliary bias winding on the converter transformer, fault logic with a programmable timer for converter overload protection, unique gated oscillator configuration for extremely fast loop response with double pulse suppression, power switch current limiting, input undervoltage lockout with hysteresis, thermal shutdown, and auto restart fault detection. These devices are available in an economical 8–pin dual–in–line package.

The NCP112 is a highly integrated supervisory circuit that incorporates all the functions necessary for monitoring and controlling a multi-output switch-mode power supply system. It provides an ability to monitor the status of the power supply outputs and communicate it to the system controller. The programmable output delays protect against spurious fault indicators.

The MAX1065/MAX1066 14-bit, low-power successive approximation analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) fea- ture automatic power-down, a factory-trimmed internal clock, and a high-speed, 14-bit-wide (MAX1065) or byte-wide (MAX1066) parallel interface. The devices operate from a single 4.75V to 5.25V analog supply and a 2.7V to 5.25V digital supply. The MAX1065/MAX1066 use an internal 4.096V refer- ence or an external reference. The MAX1065/MAX1066 consume only 1.8mA at a sampling rate of 165ksps with external reference and 2.7mA with internal reference. AutoShutdown™ reduces supply current to 0.1mA at 10ksps. The MAX1065/MAX1066 are ideal for high-performance, battery-powered, data-acquisition applications. Excellent dynamic performance and low-power con- sumption in a small package make the MAX1065/ MAX1066 the best choice for circuits with demanding power consumption and space requirements. The 14-bit-wide MAX1065 is available in a 28-pin TSSOP package, and the byte-wide MAX1066 is available in a 20-pin TSSOP package. Both devices are available in either the 0°C to +70°C commercial, or the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.

The SALINTEST HI 98203 Salinity Concentration Pocket-sized Meter measures sodium ion concentration, using a double junction reference for highly stable readings

The document introduces the use of the pNa HI 98202 soft water tester. The instrument uses a sodium ion-selective electrode to determine the activity of free sodium in solution (pNa = -log aNa). In dilute solutions, the activity coefficient is nearly 1 and in such solutions pNa is a good indicator of the sodium ion concentration. The relationship between the pNa scale and the g/L Na+ scale is explained in the chart below. A double junction reference is used to ensure a highly stable reading. If you suspect that the calibration has drifted, you can recalibrate the meter by using a solution of known concentration. Adjust the reading with the calibration trimmer.
