Blackfin processors are designed specifically for digital video surveillance applications, providing high performance, low power, and low cost.

With the rapid development of electronics, vehicles need to be upgraded quickly to keep pace with the advanced level. The development cycles of electronic products and automobiles are in conflict. Automobile manufacturers need to design systems that support long product life cycles, while new electronic products need to be able to quickly adapt to rapidly evolving technologies and functions.

The SHARC Melody Platform with Auto Room Tuner (ART) Technology is a product that offers optimized surround sound for the mass market. It utilizes digital signal processors (DSPs) to deliver high-quality multichannel audio experiences. With the increasing popularity of DVDs and the introduction of new multichannel audio formats, sales of home audio systems are expected to continue growing, and manufacturers are seeking ways to differentiate their products.

The SHARC processor is a high-performance 32-bit DSP used in applications such as audio, medical, military, wireless communications, graphics, imaging, motor control, and telephony. It features a Super Harvard Architecture with four independent buses for dual data fetch, instruction fetch, and nonintrusive zero-overhead I/O. The processor is code compatible with all other SHARC family DSPs and employs a single-instruction multiple-data (SIMD) computational architecture with two 32-bit IEEE floating-point computation units, each equipped with a multiplier, ALU, shifter, and register file. The serial ports support I2S via 8 programmable and simultaneous receive or transmit pins, allowing for up to 16 transmit or 16 receive channels of audio. Integrated peripherals include an integrated I/O processor and 1m bit on-chip dual-ported memory.

This paper describes how a mobile ultrasonic handheld device was developed using the LabVIEW Embedded development platform. The device features a Blackfin processor and the ZBrain system solution, and includes powerful functions such as 25MHz signal generation, 50MHz data acquisition, and 24-hour mobile power.

This document introduces how to use printf function to format data output to UART terminal on Blackfin processors.

ADSP-BF50x Blackfin® Processor Hardware Reference is a hardware reference manual published by Analog Devices, Inc. It details the hardware characteristics and usage of the Blackfin processor series.

This is a system demonstration platform for evaluating Analog Devices components and reference circuits.

This EE-286 technical note introduces how to connect SDRAM memory to SHARC® processors.
