RP131x Series Low Voltage 1A LDO is based on CMOS process and features 1A output with low on-resistance. CMOS process provides both large output current and low supply current. Dropout voltage is significantly lower than bipolar regulators. RP131x handles low voltage with an input voltage from 1.6V and an output voltage from 0.8V. Accordingly, the device supports highly integrated, low voltage-driven LSI as a rear stage of the DC/DC converter. CE pin can switch the regulator into standby mode. In addition to a fold-back protection circuit built into conventional LDO regulators, RP131x has a thermal shutdown circuit and inrush current limit circuit. Ceramic capacitors can be used.

R1501x series are CMOS-based positive voltage regulator (VR) ICs. The R1501xxxxB has features of high input voltage operating, 1A output current drive, and low supply current.

The R1501x Series is a CMOS-based voltage regulator with a 1A output current and 24V input voltage. The R1501x series provides high input voltage operation and low on-resistance (at VOUT = 10V, below 0.6Ω) due to the use of CMOS transistor. In addition to a fold-back protection circuit built into conventional regulators, R1501x contains a thermal shutdown circuit. Besides the low supply current by CMOS, the operating temperature is -40°C to 105°C and the maximum input voltage is 24V, the R1501x series are very suitable for power source of car accessories.

The R1190x series is a low supply current voltage regulator with high output voltage accuracy. The maximum operating voltage is 16V and the output current is 1A. Each of these ICs consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, a resistor-net for voltage setting, as a short current protection, a peak current protection, a thermal shutdown, an inrush current limit and a chip enable circuit. The wide input voltage range (Max. 16V). Additionally, the output voltage is fixed internally, in the range from 2.0V to 12.0V by the 0.1V steps. The supply current of R1190x series is excellent (Typ. 150μA) moreover R1190x series has the standby mode (Typ. 0.1μA) by the chip enable function. Since the package for these ICs are TO-252-5-P2, SOT-89-5 and HSOP-6J with high power dissipation, high density mounting of the ICs on boards is possible.

The R1190x Series are CMOS-based 16V input voltage regulators featuring 1A output. These are suitable for digital home appliances, in which only bipolar types could previously operate. So R1190x contributes to save energy. R1190x has an inrush current limit circuit that limits approximately 300mA when the voltage regulator turns on. It is also possible to set the inrush current limit time by connecting a capacitor with DELAY pin. In addition to TO-252-5-P2 and HSOP-6J packages, a SOT-89-5 package with high-density mounting is available.

The R1173x Series are CMOS-based positive voltage regulator ICs. The R1173x Series have features of super low dropout, 1A output current capability, and -3mV typical load regulation at 1A. Even the output voltage is set at 1.5V, on resistance of internal FET is typically 0.32Ω. Therefore, applications that require a large current at small dropout are suitable for the R1173x series. Low input voltage is acceptable and low output voltage can be set. The minimum input voltage is 1.4V, and the lowest set output voltage is 0.8V. Each of these ICs consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, resistor net for setting output voltage, a current limit circuit at over-current, a chip enable circuit, a thermal-shutdown circuit, and so on. A stand-by mode with ultra low consumption current can be realized with the chip enable pin. The output voltage types of R1173 are fixed one in the IC and adjustable one (R1173x001x). Since the packages for these ICs are the SOT-89-5 package, HSON-6, or HSOP-6J, high density mounting of the ICs on boards is possible.

The R1173x Series is a CMOS-based LDO regulator featuring 1A output. It offers almost the same basic performances as the R1172x Series, but with excellent load regulation.

R1172x SERIES SUPER LOW ON RESISTANCE / LOW VOLTAGE 1A LDO

R1172x Series 1A LDO is a CMOS-based linear regulator featuring 1A output. CMOS process provides both high output current and low supply current. The dropout voltage is significantly lower than bipolar regulators. R1172x handles low voltage with an input voltage from 1.4V and output voltage from 0.8V. Accordingly, the device supports highly integrated, low voltage-driven LSI as a rear stage of the DC/DC converter. The CE pin can switch the regulator into standby mode. R1170x series 800mA low dropout voltage regulator ICs are manufactured using CMOS technology. The R1170x series features high ripple rejection, low dropout voltage, high output voltage accuracy, low consumption current.

The RP111x Series are CMOS-based LDO regulators featuring 500mA output current. The input voltage is as low as 1.4V and the output voltage can be set from 0.7V. Due to a built-in 0.46Ω (at VOUT=2.8V) on-resistor, RP111x can provide a low dropout voltage. RP111x also features an excellent line transient response, ripple rejection at 75dB, and low noise. The output voltage accuracy is as high as ±0.8% and the temperature drift coefficient of output voltage is low at ±30ppm/℃. The accuracy of the output voltage of RP111x includes the temperature characteristics and the load transient response has been improved. The typ. and max value of under/overshoot for various output current are shown in the typical characteristics in the datasheet, therefore the accuracy of the output voltage estimation will be easy on the actual operating cases. In addition to a fold-back protection circuit built into conventional regulators, RP111x contains a thermal shutdown circuit and an inrush current limit circuit. SOT-23-5 and SOT-89-5 packages, a 1.2mm square DFN1212-6 package are available.
