The R5325x Series are CMOS-based voltage regulator ICs with high output voltage accuracy, low supply current (Typ. 3.0μA), low dropout, and fast transient response. Each of these voltage regulator ICs consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, resistors for setting output voltage, a current limit circuit, and a chip enable circuit. These ICs perform with low dropout voltage due to built-in transistor with low ON resistance, and a chip enable function prolongs the battery life of each system. The line transient response and load transient response of the R5325x Series are excellent, thus these ICs are very suitable for the power supply for hand-held communication equipment. The supply current at no load of R5325x Series is remarkably reduced compared with R5323x Series. The mode change signal to reduce the supply current is not necessary. The output voltage of these ICs is internally fixed with high accuracy (±1.0%). Since the packages for these ICs are SOT-23-6 (Limited) and DFN(PLP)1820-6 package, dual LDO regulators are included in each, high density mounting of the ICs on boards is possible.

The R5325K Series are CMOS-based seamless dual output LDO regulators featuring 150mA output. Ricoh unique seamless technology smoothly changes its transient response according to output current. Thus, R5325K offers lower supply current in the smaller output current range compared to R5323x (Typ. 90μA). Additionally, R5325K can reach low supply current without changing to low power mode using the ECO function, which is required by R5326K (Typ. 5.5μA) and R5328K (Typ. 2.5μA). Standby mode and auto-discharge function are also available (see Selection Guide). Ceramic capacitors can be used.

Each of these voltage regulator ICs consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, resistors for setting Output Voltage, a current limit circuit, and a chip enable circuit. Moreover, in C Version of RP152x, the start-up sequence circuit is built-in. These ICs perform with low dropout voltage due to built-in transistor with low ON resistance, and a chip enable function prolongs the battery life of each system. RP152x series low voltage dual 150mA LDO with sequence control

RN5RF Series are CMOS-based voltage regulator ICs which control external driver transistors with high ripple rejection, high accuracy output voltage, low supply current. Each of these voltage regulator ICs consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, output voltage setting resistor, short circuit current limiting circuit and chip enable circuit. These ICs are suitable for constructing regulators with ultra low dropout voltage and an output current in the range of several tens of mA and several hundreds mA. In addition to low supply current by CMOS process, chip enable function can be used to conserve battery life during standby. Furthermore, a supreme ripple rejection and a transient response are suitable for portable communicator such as cell phones, PDAs, walky talkies. SOT23-5 (Mini Mold) package is available.

RN5RF series are CMOS-based LDO regulators with external power transistor. By using an external PNP transistor, a low dropout voltage regulator ranging from several tens of mA to several hundreds mA can be configured.

The RP108J Series are CMOS-based voltage regulator ICs featuring 3A output with low ON-resistance. Each IC of this series consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, resistor-net for voltage setting, a fold-back protection circuit, and a thermal shutdown circuit. This series features both low supply current and high output current, and the dropout voltage is much smaller than bi-polar's. The minimum input voltage is as low as 1.6V and the output voltage can be set from 0.8V, therefore it can be connected with the DC/DC converter as the latter power supply for high density LSI that is operated by low output voltage. The output voltage of RP108J081x is externally adjustable by using external divide resistors. The CE pin of the RP108J Series can switch the regulator to standby mode. In addition to a fold-back protection circuit, which is already built in the conventional regulators, this series contain a thermal shutdown circuit, a constant slope circuit as a soft-start function and a reverse current protection circuit. Ceramic capacitors can be used.

RP108J Series Low Voltage 3A LDO Regulator with Ext. VOUT Adjustable

The R1171x Series are CMOS-based positive voltage regulator ICs, featuring low dropout voltage, high output voltage accuracy, and low consumption current. Each of these ICs consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, resistor net for setting output voltage, a current limit circuit at short mode, a chip enable circuit, and thermal shutdown circuit. The output voltage of R1171 is fixed in the IC. Low consumption current by the merit of CMOS process and built-in transistors with low ON-resistance make low dropout voltage and chip enable function prolongs the battery life. These regulators are remarkable improvement on the current regulators in terms of input transient response, and load transient response. Thus, the R1171x Series are suitable for various power sources. Since the packages for these ICs are high wattage HSOP-6J package, TO-252-5-P1, high density mounting of the ICs on boards is possible.

The R1171x Series are CMOS-based LDO regulators featuring 2A/1.5A output. The TO-252-5-P1 and the HSOP-6J that support high wattage can provide the output current up to 2A and 1.5A, respectively. The CMOS process provides both high output current and low supply current. The dropout voltage is significantly lower than bipolar regulators. The CE pin can switch the regulator into standby mode. In addition to a fold-back protection circuit built into conventional LDO regulators, R1171x has a thermal shutdown circuit. Ceramic capacitors can be used.

RP132x SERIES Low on Resistance / Low Voltage 1A LDO

EK-265-111003 is a 1A low voltage LDO chip from ROHM. The chip is manufactured using CMOS technology and has low on-resistance and excellent load regulation. The output voltage range is 0.8V to 5.5V and can be set using an external resistor. The chip also has overcurrent protection and undervoltage protection functions.
