  • MICREL MIC5203 Cap 80mA Low-Dropout Voltage Regulator

The MIC5203 is an 80mA linear voltage regulator with very low dropout voltage (typically 20mV at light loads and 300mV at 80mA) and very low ground current (225µA at 20mA output), offering better than 3% initial accuracy with a logic-compatible enable input. The µCap™ regulator design is optimized to work with low- value, low-cost ceramic capacitors. The outputs typically require only 0.47µF of output capacitance for stability. Designed especially for hand-held, battery-powered devices, the MIC5203 can be controlled by a CMOS or TTL compatible logic signal. When disabled, power consumption drops nearly to zero. If on-off control is not required, the enable pin may be tied to the input for 3-terminal operation. The ground current of the MIC5203 increases only slightly in dropout, further prolonging battery life. Key MIC5203 features include current limiting, overtemperature shutdown, and protection against reversed battery. The MIC5203 is available in 2.8V, 3.0V, 3.3V, 3.6V, 3.8V, 4.0V, 4.5V, 4.75V, and 5.0V fixed voltages. Other voltages are available; contact Micrel for details.

  • MICREL SY100S839V DATA SHEET

The SY100S839V is a low skew ÷2/4, ÷4/5/6 clock generation chip designed explicitly for low skew clock generation applications. The internal dividers are synchronous to each other, therefore, the common output edges are all precisely aligned. The device can be driven by either a differential or single-ended ECL/LVECL or, if positive power supplies are used, PECL/LVPECL input signal. In addition, by using the VBB output, a sinusoidal source can be AC-coupled into the device. If a single- ended input is to be used, the VBB output should be connected to the /CLK input and bypassed to ground via a 0.01µF capacitor. The VBB output is designed to act as the switching reference for the input of the S839V under single-ended input conditions. As a result, this pin can only source/sink up to 0.5mA of current. The common enable (/EN) is synchronous so that the internal dividers will only be enabled/disabled when the internal clock is already in the LOW state. This avoids any chance of generating a runt clock pulse on the internal clock when the device is enabled/disabled as can happen with an asynchronous control. An internal runt pulse could lead to losing synchronization between the internal divider stages. The internal enable flip-flop is clocked on the falling edge of the input clock, therefore, all associated specification limits are referenced to the negative edge of the clock input. Upon s

  • MICREL MIC5256 handbook

The MIC5256 is an efficient, precise CMOS voltage regulator. It offers better than 1% initial accuracy, extremely low-dropout voltage (typically 135mV at 150mA) and low ground current (typically 90µA) over load. The MIC5256 features an error flag that indicates an output fault condition such as overcurrent, thermal shutdown and dropout. Designed specifically for handheld and battery-powered devices, the MIC5256 provides a TTL-logic-compatible enable pin. When disabled, power consumption drops nearly to zero. The MIC5256 also works with low-ESR ceramic capacitors, reducing the amount of board space necessary for power applications, critical in hand-held wireless devices. Key features include current limit, thermal shutdown, faster transient response, and an active clamp to speed up device turnoff. Available in the IttyBitty™ SOT-23-5 package and the new Thin SOT-23-5, which offers the same footprint as the standard IttyBitty™ SOT-23-5, but only 1mm tall. The MIC5256 offers a range of output voltages.

  • MICREL MIC2177 2.5A Synchronous Buck Regulator handbook

The Micrel MIC2177 is a 200kHz synchronous buck (step-down) switching regulator designed for high-efficiency, battery-powered applications. It operates from a 4.5V to 16.5V input and can supply up to 2.5A output current. The regulator can operate in PWM or skip mode, depending on the output conditions, to achieve high efficiency over a wide output current range. It features a shutdown mode that reduces quiescent current to less than 5µA. The MIC2177 uses current-mode control with internal current sensing, providing superior line regulation and easy compensation of the control loop. It is protected against pulse-by-pulse current limiting and thermal shutdown. The output is turned off when the input voltage is less than 4.5V. The MIC2177 is packaged in a 20-lead wide power SO package with an operating temperature range of –40°C to +85°C.

  • MICREL MIC5012 Data Sheet

The MIC5012 is the dual member of the Micrel MIC501X driver family. These ICs are designed to drive the gate of an N-channel power MOSFET above the supply rail in high- side power switch applications. The 14-pin MIC5012 is extremely easy to use, requiring only a power FET and nominal supply decoupling to implement either a high- or low-side switch. The MIC5012 charges a 1nF load in 60µs typical. Operation down to 4.75V allows the MIC5012 to drive standard MOSFETs in 5V low-side applications by boosting the gate voltage above the logic supply. In addition, multiple, paral- leled MOSFETs can be driven by a single MIC5012 for ultra- high current applications. Other members of the Micrel driver family include the MIC5010 full-featured driver, MIC5011 minimum parts count driver, and MIC5013 protected 8-pin driver. For new designs, Micrel recommends the pin-compatible MIC5016 dual MOSFET driver.
