  • PHILIPS SC68C752B handbook(1)

The SC68C752B is a dual Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART) with 64-byte FIFOs, automatic hardware/software flow control, and data rates up to 5 Mbit/s. It offers enhanced features such as a Transmission Control Register (TCR), FIFO Rdy register, internal loopback capability, error indications, operational status, and modem interface control.

  • PHILIPS SC68C752B handbook

The SC68C752B is a dual Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART) with 64-byte FIFOs, automatic hardware/software flow control, and data rates up to 5 Mbit/s. It has a Transmission Control Register (TCR) that stores receiver FIFO threshold levels to start/stop transmission during hardware and software flow control. With the FIFO Rdy register, the software gets the status of TXRDY/RXRDY for all four ports in one access. On-chip status registers provide the user with error indications, operational status, and modem interface control. System interrupts may be tailored to meet user requirements. An internal loop-back capability allows on-board diagnostics. The UART transmits data, sent to it over the peripheral 8-bit bus, on the TX signal and receives characters on the RX signal. Characters can be programmed to be 5, 6, 7, or 8 bits. The UART has a 64-byte receive FIFO and transmit FIFO and can be programmed to interrupt at different trigger levels. The UART generates its own desired baud rate based upon a programmable divisor and its input clock. It can transmit even, odd, or no parity and 1, 1.5, or 2 stop bits. The receiver can detect break, idle, or framing errors, FIFO overflow, and parity errors. The transmitter can detect FIFO underflow. The UART also contains a software interface for modem control operations, and has software flow control and hardware flow control capabilities. The SC68C752B is available in

  • PHILIPS SC68C562 CMOS dual universal serial communications controller (CDUSCC) handbook

The Philips Semiconductors SC68C562 is a CMOS dual universal serial communications controller (CDUSCC) that provides two independent, multi-protocol, full-duplex receiver/transmitter channels in a single package. It supports bit-oriented and character-oriented synchronous data link controls as well as asynchronous protocols. The SC68C562 interfaces to the 68000 MPUs via asynchronous bus control signals and is capable of program-polled, interrupt driven, block-move or DMA data transfers. It is hardware and software compatible with the SCN68562 (NMOS version). Each channel of the SC68C562 consists of a receiver, a transmitter, a 16-bit multifunction counter/timer, a digital phase-locked loop (DPLL), a parity/CRC generator and checker, and associated control circuits. The two channels share a common bit rate generator (BRG), operating directly from a crystal or an external clock.

  • PHILIPS PDIUSBP11A Universal Serial Bus transceiver handbook

  • PHILIPS PDIUSBP11 Universal Serial Bus transceiver handbook

PDIUSBP11 is a one chip generic USB transceiver. It is capable of transmitting and receiving serial data at both full speed (12Mbit/s) and low speed (1.5Mbit/s) data rates.

  • PHILIPS PDIUSBH11 Universal Serial Bus Hub handbook

PDIUSBH11 is a USB hub IC produced by Philips Semiconductors, supports USB 1.0 protocol, and complies with USB Human Interface and Display Device Class specifications.

  • PHILIPS PDIUSBD12 handbook

The PDIUSBD12 is a cost and feature optimized USB device. It is normally used in microcontroller based systems and communicates with the system microcontroller over the high-speed general purpose parallel interface. It also supports local DMA transfer. This modular approach to implementing a USB interface allows the designer to choose the optimum system microcontroller from the available wide variety. This flexibility cuts down the development time, risks, and costs by allowing the use of the existing architecture and minimize firmware investments. This results in the fastest way to develop the most cost effective USB peripheral solution.

The PDIUSBD12 fully conforms to the USB specification Rev. 2.0 (basic speed). It is also designed to be compliant with most device class specifications: Imaging Class, Mass Storage Devices, Communication Devices, Printing Devices, and Human Interface Devices. As such, the PDIUSBD12 is ideally suited for many peripherals like Printer, Scanner, External Mass Storage (Zip Drive), Digital Still Camera, etc. It offers an immediate cost reduction for applications that currently use SCSI implementations. The PDIUSBD12 low suspend power consumption along with the LazyClock output allows for easy implementation of equipment that is compliant to the ACPI™, OnNOW™, and USB power management requirements. The low operating power allows the implementation o...
