The GPIO Expander IC BU1850MUV is a chip used to expand IO ports. It can control GPIO output states through the I2C write protocol and read GPIO input states through the I2C read protocol. Furthermore, it has an interrupt function that can release the CPU from polling the registers in the GPIO expander.
