The DAC108S085 is a full-featured, general purpose OCTAL 10-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that can operate from a single +2.7V to +5.5V supply and consumes 1.95 mW at 3V and 4.85 mW at 5V. The DAC108S085 is packaged in a 16-lead LLP package and a 16-lead TSSOP package. The LLP package makes the DAC108S085 the smallest OCTAL DAC in its class. The on-chip output amplifiers allow rail-to-rail output swing and the three wire serial interface operates at clock rates up to 40 MHz over the entire supply voltage range. Competitive devices are limited to 25 MHz clock rates at supply voltages in the 2.7V to 3.6V range. The serial interface is compatible with standard SPI™, QSPI, MICROWIRE and DSP interfaces. The DAC108S085 also offers daisy chain operation where an unlimited number of DAC108S085s can be updated simultaneously using a single serial interface. There are two references for the DAC108S085. One reference input serves channels A through D while the other reference serves channels E through H. Each reference can be set independently between 0.5V and VA, providing the widest possible output dynamic range. The DAC108S085 has a 16-bit input shift register that controls the mode of operation, the power-down condition, and the DAC channels' register/output value. All eight DAC outputs can be updated simultaneously or individually.

The ADC124S021 is a low-power, four-channel CMOS 12-bit analog-to-digital converter with a high-speed serial interface. Unlike the conventional practice of specifying performance at a single sample rate only, the ADC124S021 is fully speci- fied over a sample rate range of 50 kSPS to 200 kSPS. The converter is based on a successive-approximation register architecture with an internal track-and-hold circuit. It can be configured to accept up to four input signals at inputs IN1 through IN4. The output serial data is straight binary, and is compatible with several standards, such as SPI™, QSPI™, MICROW- IRE, and many common DSP serial interfaces. The ADC124S021 operates with a single supply that can range from +2.7V to +5.25V. Normal power consumption using a +3V or +5V supply is 2.2 mW and 7.9 mW, respec- tively. The power-down feature reduces the power consump- tion to just 0.14 µW using a +3V supply, or 0.32 µW using a +5V supply. The ADC124S021 is packaged in a 10-lead MSOP package. Operation over the industrial temperature range of −40˚C to +85˚C is guaranteed.

The LM32 is a digital temperature sensor from National Semiconductor that measures 3 temperature zones and has a single-wire interface compatible with National Semiconductor's SensorPath bus. Sensor-Path data is pulse width encoded, thereby allowing the LM32 to be easily connected to many general purpose micro-controllers. Several National Semiconductor Super I/O prod- ucts include a fully integrated SensorPath master, that when connected to an LM32 can realize a hardware monitor func- tion that includes limit checking for measured values, au- tonomous fan speed control and many other functions. The LM32 measures the temperature of its own die as well as two external devices such as a processor thermal diode or a diode connected transistor. The LM32 can resolve tem- peratures up to 255˚C and down to -256˚C. The operating temperature range of the LM32 is 0˚C to +125˚C. The ad- dress programming pin allows two LM32s to be placed on one SensorPath bus.
