MAXIM DS1721 2-Wire Digital Thermometer Thermostat handbook

The DS1721 2-Wire Digital Thermometer and Thermostat provides 12-bit temperature readings, which indicate the temperature of the device. Thermostatic settings and temperature readings are all communicated to/from the DS1721 over a simple 2-wire serial interface. No additional components are required; the device is truly a "temperature-to-digital" converter. The DS1721 has three address bits that allow a user to multidrop up to eight sensors along the 2-wire bus, greatly simplifying the bussing of distributed temperature sensing networks.

MAXIM MAX1265/MAX1267 handbook

The MAX1265/MAX1267 are low-power, 12-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) featuring a successive-approximation ADC, automatic power-down, fast wake-up (2µs), an on-chip clock, +2.5V internal reference, and a high-speed 12-bit parallel interface. They operate with a single +2.7V to +3.6V analog supply. Power consumption is only 5.4mW at the maximum sampling rate of 265ksps. Two software-selectable power-down modes enable the MAX1265/MAX1267 to be shut down between conversions; accessing the parallel interface returns them to normal operation. Powering down between conversions can reduce supply current below 10µA at lower sampling rates. Both devices offer software-configurable analog inputs for unipolar/bipolar and single-ended/pseudo-differential operation. In single-ended mode, the MAX1265 has six input channels and the MAX1267 has two (three input channels and one input channel, respectively, when in pseudo-differential mode). Excellent dynamic performance and low power, combined with ease of use and small package size, make these converters ideal for battery-powered and data-acquisition applications or for other circuits with demanding power-consumption and space requirements.

MAXIM MAX9390/MAX9391 handbook

The MAX9390/MAX9391 dual 2 x 2 crosspoint switches perform high-speed, low-power, and low-noise signal distribution. The MAX9390/MAX9391 multiplex one of two differential input pairs to either or both low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) outputs for each channel. Independent enable inputs turn on or turn off each differential output pair. Four LVCMOS/LVTTL logic inputs (two per channel) control the internal connections between inputs and outputs. This flexibility allows for the following configurations: 2 x 2 crosspoint switch, 2:1 mux, 1:2 splitter, or dual repeater. This makes the MAX9390/MAX9391 ideal for protection switching in fault-tolerant systems, loopback switching for diagnostics, fanout buffering for clock/data distribution, and signal regeneration. Fail-safe circuitry forces the outputs to a differential low condition for undriven inputs or when the common-mode voltage exceeds the specified range. The MAX9390 provides high-level input fail-safe detection for LVDS, HSTL, and other GND-referenced differential inputs. The MAX9391 provides low-level input fail-safe detection for LVPECL, CML, and other VCC-referenced differential inputs. Ultra-low 82ps(P-P) (max) pseudorandom bit sequence (PRBS) jitter ensures reliable communications in high-speed links that are highly sensitive to timing error, especially those incorporating clock-and-data recovery, or serializers and deserializers. The high-speed switching performance guarantees 1.5

MAXIM MAX8744A/MAX8745A handbook

The MAX8744A/MAX8745A are dual step-down, switch-mode, power-supply (SMPS) controllers with synchronous rectification, intended for main 5V/3.3V power generation in battery-powered systems. Fixed-frequency operation with optimal interleaving minimizes input ripple current from the lowest input voltages up to the 26V maximum input. Optimal 40/60 interleaving allows the input voltage to go down to 8.3V before duty-cycle overlap occurs, compared to 180° out-of-phase regulators where the duty-cycle overlap occurs when the input drops below 10V. Output current sensing provides peak current-limit protection, using either an accurate sense resistor or using lossless inductor DCR current sensing. A low-noise mode maintains high light-load efficiency while keeping the switching frequency out of the audible range. An internal, fixed 5V, 100mA linear regulator powers up the MAX8744A/MAX8745A and their gate drivers, as well as external keep-alive loads. When the main PWM regulator is in regulation, an automatic bootstrap switch bypasses the internal linear regulator, providing current up to 200mA. An additional adjustable linear-regulator driver with an external pnp transistor can be used with a secondary winding to provide a 12V supply, or powered directly from the main outputs to generate low-voltage outputs as low

MAXIM MAX7408/MAX7411/MAX7412/MAX7415 handbook

The MAX7408/MAX7411/MAX7412/MAX7415 5th-order, lowpass, elliptic, switched-capacitor filters (SCFs) operate from a single +5V (MAX7408/MAX7411) or +3V (MAX7412/MAX7415) supply. The devices draw only 1.2mA of supply current and allow corner frequencies from 1Hz to 15kHz, making them ideal for low-power post-DAC filtering and anti-aliasing applications.

MAXIM MAX6469 MAX6484 handbook

The MAX6469–MAX6484 are low-dropout linear regulators with a fully integrated microprocessor reset circuit. Each is available with preset output voltages from +1.5V to +3.3V in 100mV increments and delivers up to 300mA of load current. These devices consume only 82µA of supply current. The low supply current, low dropout volt- age, and integrated reset functionality make these devices ideal for battery-powered portable equipment.
