The 74F244 is an octal buffer that is ideal for driving bus lines of buffer memory address registers. The outputs are all capable of sinking 64mA and sourcing up to 15mA, producing very good capacitive drive characteristics. The device features two output enables, OEa and OEb, each controlling four of the 3-State outputs. The 74F244B is functionally equivalent to the 74F244. It has been designed to reduce effects of ground noise. Other advantages are noted in the features.
This document is a product specification datasheet for the Philips 74F244 and 74F244B integrated circuits. These devices are octal buffers with 3-State outputs, designed to drive bus lines for memory address registers. The 74F244B variant offers improvements over the standard 74F244, including reduced ground noise effects, lower supply current, and reduced loading.
| Output sink current | 64mA |
|---|---|
| Output source current | 15mA |
| Output skew (typical) | 2.0ns |
| Operating temperature (Commercial) | 0°C to +70°C |
| Operating temperature (Industrial) | -40°C to +85°C |
The 74F244B is functionally equivalent to the 74F244 but is designed to reduce effects of ground noise, reduce supply current, and reduce loading.
The recommended operating supply voltage is 4.5V to 5.5V, with an absolute maximum rating of -0.5V to +7.0V.
