The FP7 is a programmable controller designed for manufacturing sites, emphasizing seven "savings" – space, cost, programming time, maintenance, work monitoring, safety countermeasure labor, and debugging time. It provides high‑speed start‑up (1 µs), up to 196 k steps of program capacity, and up to 8,192 I/O points.
