The DS2480B is a serial‑to‑1‑Wire interface chip supporting standard and high‑speed modes, load‑sensor detection, and 12 V EPROM programming.
The DS2480B provides a universal, ground‑referenced serial‑to‑1‑Wire driver for MicroLAN networks. It supports all iButton devices, offers selectable communication speeds (9600‑115200 bps), programmable timing, and a load sensor that stops the strong pull‑up when encrypted iButton devices require less energy.
The device comes in an 8‑lead SO package with pins for GND, 1‑W, VDD, VPP, POL, TXD, RXD, and NC. Electrical specifications include a 4.5‑5.5 V supply range, 12 V EPROM programming voltage, and detailed timing parameters. A rich command set enables reset, single‑bit, pulse, and search‑accelerator functions, allowing efficient communication with 1‑Wire devices. This manual is written in Chinese.
| Supply Voltage (VDD) | 4.5 V to 5.5 V |
|---|---|
| Operating Temperature Range | -40 °C to +85 °C |
| Programming Voltage (VPP) | 12 V |
| 1‑Wire Input High (VIH1) | 3.4 V |
| 1‑Wire Input Low (VIL1) | 1.8 V |
| 1‑Wire Active Pullup Current (IACTPU) | 9 mA to 15 mA |
| Maximum Voltage on 1‑W to Ground | -0.5 V to +14.0 V |
| Supported Communication Speeds | 9600, 19200, 57600, 115200 bps |
It supports four selectable UART data rates: 9600 bps, 19200 bps, 57600 bps, and 115200 bps.
The load sensor detects a reduction in energy required by encrypted iButton devices and stops the strong pull‑up accordingly.
POL selects the polarity of the RXD/TXD signals, allowing compatibility with either RS‑232 (12 V or 5 V) or UART interfaces.
