About this manual

The VS‑AU series solar controllers are PWM‑type charge controllers with a fully digital LCD, dual USB ports and multiple load control modes, suitable for home power systems, traffic lights, solar street lights and garden lighting. The manual describes product overview, physical appearance, wiring connections, interface operation, protection functions and troubleshooting steps.

Key sections cover the LCD interface, button functions, load mode settings, battery temperature compensation, protection mechanisms (over‑voltage, over‑discharge, over‑temperature, overload, short‑circuit, surge), optional remote temperature sensor, and a detailed technical parameter table for each model variant. This manual is written in Chinese.

Frequently asked questions

What should I do if the LCD does not light up under sunlight?

Check the PV array wiring and ensure the battery voltage is at least 9 V; the LCD will stay dark if the battery voltage is below 9 V or the PV voltage is lower than the battery voltage.

How is the controller handled when the temperature sensor is disconnected?

When the external temperature sensor is missing or shorted/open, the controller defaults to 25 °C for charging and discharging to protect the battery.
