This training manual shows how to perform a harmonic response analysis of a fixed‑fixed beam using DYNAMICS 11.0 software.
The manual explains step‑by‑step how to set up a beam model, define a harmonic analysis, apply loads, set damping, and run the solution in DYNAMICS 11.0. It is intended for users who need to study the dynamic response of a steel beam with two rotating machines.
The procedure covers clearing the database, reading the input file, selecting the harmonic analysis type, configuring analysis options, applying forces at specified nodes, defining a 5‑30 Hz frequency sweep with 25 steps, solving, and post‑processing results such as displacement‑frequency curves and phase‑angle relationships. This manual is written in Chinese.
| Software version | 11.0 |
|---|---|
| Analysis method | full |
| Damping ratio | 0.02 (2%) |
| Frequency range | 5–30 Hz (300–1800 rpm) |
| Beam length | 10 ft |
Set the damping ratio to 0.02 (2%) via Solution > Load Step Opts > Time/Frequency > Damping.
The analysis uses 25 frequency steps between 5 Hz and 30 Hz.
Apply Y‑direction forces of 70 lb at nodes 9 and 17 using Loads > Apply > Structural > Force/Moment.
After solving, use the post‑processing tools to plot UY displacement of the two loaded nodes versus frequency.
