This document introduces the Cisco 10720 Internet Router, a device combining IP RPR and Ethernet technology for high-speed multi-tenant internet services.
The Cisco 10720 Internet Router is the industry's first router to combine IP Resilient Packet Ring (RPR) and Ethernet technologies. It is optimized for high-speed multi-tenant internet services, allowing service providers to deliver personalized IP services at the speed of light. The device utilizes dynamic packet transport (DPT) technology to bring IP services closer to users while maintaining efficient network resource management.
The router supports various Ethernet access modules and DPT uplink modules for optical distance. It features high-performance IP routing, metropolitan area networking solutions, full IP service level capabilities, and modular Quality of Service (QoS) characteristics. The hardware includes a central processing engine with two PXF network processors supporting parallel packet forwarding at 2mpps. This manual is written in Chinese.
| Forwarding Rate | 2mpps |
|---|---|
| Path Storage Capacity | 250,000 paths |
| Built-in Flash Memory | 64MB |
| Recovery Time (SRP) | <50ms |
It combines IP Resilient Packet Ring (RPR) and Ethernet technologies.
DPT combines the intelligence of IP routing with the bandwidth efficiency of optical rings.
The IPS recovery time is less than 50ms.
