HEUR 3050 is a hydrophobic‑group‑modified non‑ionic associative thickening agent. It provides high effective component content and delivers efficient medium‑low shear viscosity thickening, good rheology, leveling, film formation and gloss, making it suitable for water‑based architectural paints, industrial coatings, inks and adhesives.
The product appears as a milky white viscous liquid with a density of 1.04 g/cm³, viscosity of CP 6000‑8000 at 25 °C, and a pH of 6.5‑7.0 in a 5 % aqueous solution. Recommended usage is 0.2‑1.0 % of the total formulation. Store sealed in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse, avoid sunlight, protect from freezing in winter, and use within 18 months.
