About this manual

The Adafruit SGP30 is a fully integrated MOX gas sensor featuring I2C interfacing and calibrated output signals for indoor air quality monitoring. It detects Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) and equivalent carbon dioxide (eCO2) using a standard hot-plate MOX sensor and an internal microcontroller. The sensor provides a typical accuracy of 15% within measured values and does not require I2C clock stretching.

Frequently asked questions

Does the SGP30 require I2C clock stretching?

No, unlike the CCS811, this sensor does not require I2C clock stretching.

How long does the sensor need to run to store a baseline?

If no stored baseline is available, the sensor has to run for 12 hours until the baseline can be stored.

Can the SGP30 be used with 5V systems?

Yes, the board includes a voltage regulator that allows you to use it with either 3.3V or 5V systems.
