The ITX-8978 is a Mini‑ITX motherboard (170 mm × 170 mm) featuring an AMD 780E + SB710 chipset with integrated Radeon HD 3200 graphics. It supports AMD Sempron 200U, 210U, Athlon L325 and Turion L625 processors and provides two DDR2 SO‑DIMM slots for up to 4 GB of memory (DDR2 1066/800/667/533). The board includes a Realtek RTL8111DL Gigabit Ethernet controller, Realtek ALC888 7.1+2‑channel audio codec, ITE 1T8781F Super I/O, and an 8 M‑bit flash ROM.
The back panel offers HDMI, DVI, VGA, RJ‑45, four USB 2.0 ports, three audio jacks and two S/PDIF outputs. Power is supplied via a 4‑pin ATX 12 V connector and a 12 V 5 A adaptor.
