INSURAL refractory materials are pre-formed insulating refractory materials with excellent properties, non-stick aluminum; no asbestos; durable and its structure is elastic; can be cut, drilled and machined; small shrinkage rate, high surface strength, no chemical reaction with aluminum, avoiding inclusions, easy to remove the aluminum shell, density can be controlled, low heat capacity. Life is 12 months. PT-190 castable is an extremely dense, alumina-based refractory material. SC-2600 castable is a high-purity silicon carbide-based refractory material with high thermal conductivity and stable performance at high temperatures. AR castable is a molten silica refractory material specially formulated to resist aluminum liquid thermal shock.
About this manual
The INSURAL refractory material series (120, 140, 180, PT‑190, SC‑2600, AR) is a pre‑formed insulating refractory produced by Pyrotek. It offers low density, good thermal insulation, and can be cut, drilled, and machined. Different grades are tailored for various casting and molding applications, such as small float plates, flow molds, furnace linings, and high‑temperature components.
The manual details technical parameters, chemical composition, usage instructions, and packaging. INSURAL products are sintered, contain no crystal water, and require a 50‑100 mm insulation layer between the formed part and the shell. Before first use, pre‑heat to 700 °C to remove absorbed moisture. Store in a dry, cool place and the material has a 12‑month shelf life. This manual is written in Chinese.
