This document introduces the features and characteristics of the RDF50.1 room temperature controller with LCD display produced by Siemens Building Technologies. It can be used for independent room temperature control of two-pipe fan coil units, and can output switch signals to DC0…10V valve actuators and three-speed fans. It supports control based on room or return air temperature, and has automatic cold/hot switching function. The working modes include normal, energy-saving, and standby. It supports remote control mode switching input and humidity protection function. It allows for optional installation and control parameters, and can display room temperature and optional temperature values. It supports setting the minimum and maximum temperature set values, and works with an AC24V power supply.
The RDF50.1 is a room temperature controller with an LCD display, designed for two‑pipe fan coil units in HVAC applications. It can control heating and cooling by sending 0‑10 V signals to valve actuators and three‑speed fans, and includes optional humidity protection and cleaning functions.
The manual covers installation guidelines, wiring diagrams, how to set and adjust control parameters, description of normal, energy‑saving and standby operation modes, and detailed technical specifications. It also explains calibration of temperature sensors and ordering information for accessories.
| Supply voltage | AC 24 V ±20 % |
|---|---|
| Maximum power consumption | 6 VA |
| Control output voltage range | 0–10 V DC |
| Accuracy | ±39 mV |
| Temperature setpoint range | 5 °C – 35 °C |
Enter standby mode, press the “+” and “–” keys together for 3‑5 seconds, release, then press “+” again to display the parameter number and adjust its value with the same keys.
Set parameter P16 to the desired cleaning interval (1–5 minutes); when enabled, the valve opens for 1–5 minutes every 2 hours to ensure accurate water temperature measurement.
