Optibor ® is a versatile boron product that provides the required boric oxide (B2O3) for production. In addition to pentahydrate boric acid, Optibor is the most widely used industrial boron product. Optibor boric acid (H3BO3) is theoretically composed of boric oxide and water.Optibor products are white crystals in the form of granules or powders. Both forms are stable under normal conditions, free flowing and easy to handle by pneumatic or mechanical conveying. The aqueous solution of Optibor is weakly acidic. It has a wide range of applications, including glass, melting block, glaze and enamel, flame retardant, metallurgy, corrosion inhibitor, adhesive, personal care products, nuclear power and chemical reaction.
