The purpose of this manual is to assist FAO and IAEA Member States in establishing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the analysis of chemical residues and contaminants. The manual describes the major aspects of chemical residue and contaminant analysis, including sample preparation, extraction, separation, detection and identification, and data processing and reporting.
