This document is a supplement to Genie Industries work platform operator's manual, which is mainly aimed at trained lighting technicians and work platform operators, and introduces safety operating regulations for work platform under wind conditions and the rated load capacity of the platform.
This document is a special supplement to the Genie Industries Operator's Manual, specifically designed for authorized and trained set lighting technicians and studio grips. It provides written permission and specific requirements for using approved Genie aerial work platform models to attach set lighting, camera equipment, and light diffusion frames to the platform guard rail.
The manual outlines strict safety rules, including the necessity of specialized training, proper cable attachment methods to prevent tip-over hazards, and restrictions on modifying the guard rail system. It also includes critical charts for determining maximum allowable wind speeds based on equipment surface area and calculating the reduction in platform capacity due to attached equipment.
