Frequently asked questions

What safety precautions are required when handling the fuel?

Model engine fuel is poisonous and highly flammable. It should be stored in a clearly marked container out of the reach of children and kept away from open flames or sparks.

Where should the engine be operated?

The engine must be operated in an open area. Never operate it in an enclosed space because it exhausts deadly carbon-monoxide.

How should the engine be run-in?

Warm up the engine by repeatedly increasing rpm to medium speed and back to fast idle with a rich mixture and glowplug connected. Run until one tank of fuel is consumed, then slightly close the needle-valve and repeat until approximately 2 liters of fuel are consumed.
