Sigma 2008B series digital conductivity meter is an eddy current instrument used to measure the conductivity of non-magnetic metals. It features an attractive appearance, easy portability and grip, large screen with large fonts, backlight design for reading in low light conditions, switchable operating frequencies, temperature coefficient setting and automatic calibration, up to 500μm lift-off compensation, multiple temperature compensation modes, etc.
The Sigma 2008B is an upgraded version of the 2008A series, designed to measure electrical conductivity and resistivity in non-ferromagnetic materials. It features dual operating frequencies (60 KHz and 500 KHz) for different material thicknesses and includes various temperature compensation modes to ensure accuracy across different conditions.
The device allows users to perform routine measurements on flat or curved surfaces, as well as continuous measurement mode for rapid sorting. Key capabilities include lift-off compensation up to 500μm, data storage for over 16,000 groups of test data, and connectivity via RS232 serial port for computer reporting. This manual is written in Chinese.
| Operating Frequency | 60 KHz and 500KHz (Sigma 2008 B) |
|---|---|
| Conductivity Measurement Range | 0.51 %IACS to 112 %IACS or 0.3 MS/m to 65 MS/m |
| Measurement Accuracy | ± 1% (0℃~50℃), ± 0.5% (at 20℃) |

The instrument supports two switchable working frequencies: 60 KHz for aviation industry standards and 500 KHz for detecting thin plate materials.
The built-in data memory can record up to 16,000 groups of test data and tens of thousands of important test parameters.
The measurement accuracy is ± 0.5% when the temperature is at 20℃.
