The STCF04 is a dedicated high efficiency solution for driving a flash LED module in cameras, phones, PDAs and other handheld devices using the SuperCap technology. It is based on a DC-DC buck-boost converter which ensures proper and efficient charging control and monitoring of the SuperCap in the whole battery voltage range.
The device features full I2C control and supports various operation modes including Shutdown, Monitoring, Idle, Flash, and Torch. It includes extensive protection features such as LED overtemperature detection, shorted LED failure detection, and chip overtemperature protection. The chip is packaged in a TFBGA25 (3 x 3 mm) package.
