The STM6522 is a dual-button Smart Reset device with capacitor-adjustable extended reset setup delay (tSRC)
The STM6522 is a dual push-button Smart Reset device designed to improve system stability by preventing inadvertent short reset push-button closures from causing system resets. It features capacitor-adjustable extended reset setup delay (tgrc) and generates an output reset pulse for a fixed timeout period once valid input levels and setup delay are met.
The device includes two combined Smart Reset inputs (SRO and SR1) and dual RST outputs (active-low, open-drain). It operates over a broad voltage range of 1.65 V to 5.5 V and is available in a TDFN8 package measuring 2 mm x 2 mm x 0.75 mm. Typical applications include mobile phones, smartphones, e-books, MP3 players, and portable navigation devices.
| Operating voltage range | 1.65 V to 5.5 V |
|---|---|
| Supply current | 1.5 µA |
| Operating temperature | -40 °C to +85 °C |
| Package dimensions | 2 mm x 2mm x 0.75 mm |
| RST output type | active-low, open-drain |
It ensures that inadvertent short reset push-button closures do not cause system resets by implementing extended Smart Reset delay setup periods.
It is targeted at applications such as MP3 players, portable navigation devices, mobile phones, and smartphones.
