This document describes the features and characteristics of the STLQ50XX 50 mA, 3 µA supply current low drop linear regulator, released in November 2007. It has an input voltage range of 2.3V to 12V, a maximum output current of 50mA, and a quiescent current of 3µA. It is available in fixed output voltages of 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5.0V, and adjustable. The dropout voltage is 200mV at 25mA output current. It also has internal thermal protection. It is suitable for portable/battery powered equipment, electronic sensors, microcontroller power, and real time clock backup power.
