STM1404 is a 3V FIPS-140 security supervisor from STMicroelectronics, supports FIPS-140 security level 4, and has four high-impedance physical tamper inputs, overvoltage/undervoltage detector, security alarm (SAL), overtemperature/low temperature detector, optional VREF(1.237V), low power supply current(5.3µA), RoHS compliance and so on.
The STM1404 is a low-power security supervisor chip designed for intrusion detection in systems such as POS terminals. It supports FIPS-140 security level 4 and includes both physical and environmental monitoring capabilities, such as tamper detection, over/under voltage detection, and temperature monitoring.
The device features automatic battery switchover, an active-low reset output, a manual reset input, and a power-fail comparator. It is available in three versions (STM1404A, STM1404B, and STM1404C) that differ in the behavior of the Vout pin when a security alarm is asserted. The chip is packaged in a secure, low-profile 16-pin QFN package.
