About this manual

The L6562 is a current-mode Power Factor Correction (PFC) controller designed to operate in Transition Mode (TM). It is pin-to-pin compatible with the predecessor L6561 but offers improved performance, including a proprietary multiplier design for minimum Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of AC input current. The device is realized in BCD technology and is available in DIP-8 and SO-8 packages.
